Your Frequently Asked Questions Answers

  1. What is the difference between Standard Text Message and Premium Text Message?
    Standard Text Message rates apply means the message you are sending or receiving counts as a regular standard Text Message. If you already have an unlimited Text plan with your carrier, it should not cost anything.

    Premium Text Messaging refers to special programs that require an additional fee to subscribe. This does NOT apply to MODI$club members. Premium Text always requires your consent for the purchase before any messaging content is distributed or participation in any premium messaging program is allowed.

  2. Will I get SPAM from a Campaign I subscribed and is my number shared?
    No. Your cell number is never displayed to the sender, nor will it be sold or shared with any third party. The Canadian Wireless Telecommunication Association regulates and monitors mobile privacy. It is also very unlikely that you will get SPAM from the campaign you signed up since it costs Providers money to send you a text. We also advice and monitor the Providers frequently to ensure that no SPAM happens but if it does, you may Unsubscribe the Campaign that is sending you SPAM. To Unsubscribe, simply login to your account and select the Subscribed Campaigns link on the left hand column. Check the Delete box next to the Campaigns you wish to Unsubscribe. You will be instantly removed from the Providers' SMS list. They will have no way of sending you messages anymore since they never had your number. Also, notify us of the Campaign sending out SPAM and we will remove the organization or business from our Providers list. To unsubscribe from a text-in campaign, read #6.

  3. How much does MODI$club cost?
    MODI$club is a free service. The information is provided by our Campaign Providers—at no cost or obligation to you! In order to receive the valuable information, services or promotions within a Campaign, you will require a mobile phone with a standard Incoming Text Message capability, a standard feature on all mobile phones. Standard carrier Text Messaging rates apply. If you already have a Standard Text Messaging Plan, it should be free to use MODI$club's services. For more information about Standard Text Messaging Plan, check your mobile phone service plan or visit your carrier's website.

  4. Do I need to install anything on my computer or mobile phone to use MODI$club's services?
    No. You do not need to install any software on your computer or mobile phone. All you need is a Standard Incoming Text Messaging capability on your mobile phone. Check with your wireless carrier if you do not have a Text Messaging Plan.

  5. How does a text-in keyword campaign work?
    A text-in keyword campaign allows you to text a specified keyword (eg. WIN) to a long code (eg. 587 880 1922) or short code (eg. 32075) to conveniently register or participate in the campaign via your mobile phone instead of online.

  6. How do I stop receiving messages or unsubscribe from a text-in keyword campaign?
    To opt-out or unsubscribe from a text-in keyword campaign, simply text the keyword you originally texted in (eg. MODIS or PEPSI), a space, then the word STOP (eg. MODIS STOP or PEPSI STOP) to the same long code or short code you opted in from. You should receive a confirmation message that you have been removed from the list seconds after if you done it correctly. If you do not receive any message within 15 minutes, please check your keyword and long code or short code and try again. Your cell number is never revealed to our Providers. Hence, once you are off their list, you will not receive any more messages. To opt out of the regular online campaigns on this site, please read question 13 below.

  7. How do I redeem an offer or discount?
    You will receive the offers and discounts from your chosen Campaign Providers as they become available. They will be sent in Text Message format to the mobile phone number you have supplied. Save the offers and discounts messages to your phone and redeem the savings before the expiry date by simply showing the participating businesses the received text offer. The offers and discounts will only be valid at the participating businesses if the supplied code matches the offer and it is redeemed before the expiry date. We work directly with the businesses to ensure proper training of all staff. If you encounter an issue when redeeming a MODI$club offer or discount, please try speaking to a manager who may be more aware of the promotion than the staff. Ultimately, you may also report this to us by contacting us.

  8. My requested information arrived but I can't find it now!
    As all MODI$club requested information is sent out as SMS Text Messages, please check your mobile device's Text Message Inbox.

  9. Can I use MODI$club offers and discounts more than once?
    Many MODI$club offers and discounts are offered for repeat use unless otherwise stated. But even if you can only use a coupon once–like a food coupon at a restaurant–you can expect more great discounts to arrive from the retailer you have selected to show how much they appreciate your business.

  10. I have requested to have the Campaign information sent to my mobile phone, why haven't I received them?
    Depending on the organization or business, some may send the requested information, services or promotions only as they are offered. Also, if you are a member, please log in and check your Profile to ensure that you have the correct mobile phone number. You may also check with MODI$club by contacting us. In order to receive the valuable information, services or promotions, you will require a mobile phone with a standard Incoming Text Message capability, which should be a standard feature on all mobile phones. Standard carrier Text Messaging rates apply if you do not have a Text Messaging Plan with your carrier. If you already have a Standard Text Messaging Plan, it should be free. For more information, check your mobile phone service plan or visit your carrier's website.

  11. Will MODI$club Text Messages work on all mobile phones?
    Yes, MODI$club's valuable information, services or promotions should work on all Canadian and US carriers' wireless networks. Please double check your carrier or phone device if they are listed as a Supported Carrier or Supported Phone Model. Also check for updates regularly as we are always improving our services.

  12. Why must I become a member to select Campaigns?
    If you request to receive information, services or promotions from our Campaigns, you will be invited to become a MODI$club member. Membership is free and it will help you keep track and manage your profile as well as usage information, such as what you have subscribed to, the number you registered, and how to unsubscribe. Membership also comes with special privileges, such as Early Bird Notifications.

  13. Do I need to become a member if I am just trying it once?
    If you wish to have the information, services or promotions sent to you on a trial basis, you may become a temporary member and Unsubscribe at anytime you wish to discontinue. To Unsubscribe, simply login to your account and select the Subscribed Campaigns link on the left hand column. Check the Delete box next to the Campaigns you wish to Unsubscribe. You will be instantly removed from the providers' SMS list.

  14. How do I stop receiving information from the Campaigns I have added to my account?
    You may Unsubscribe Campaigns you wish to stop receiving information about at any time. To Unsubscribe, simply login to your account and select the Subscribed Campaigns link on the left hand column. Check the Delete box next to the Campaigns you wish to Unsubscribe. You will be instantly removed from the Providers' SMS list. If you have opted in through a text-in keyword, please read question 5 above.
